EP 106 -- "TS-19" *Season Finale* Latino Promo Rick and the group are allowed into the CDC, by a strange doctor. But all is not what it seems in their newfound haven.
This is an oddly subdued clip from episode 6,'TS-19,' the final episode of season 1 of AMC's 'The Walking Dead.' As you can read from the synopsis, the single CDC survivor is not quite right in the head; in episode 5, 'Wildfire,' he disclosed in a video recording that he was planning to kill himself on the following day. The Walking Dead: EP 106 – “TS-19” Rick and the group are allowed into the CDC, by a strange doctor. But all is not what it seems in their newfound haven.
Prior to the de-camped survivors arrival, 'CDC guy' caused a minor catastrophe while running tests presumably to find a cure, destroying the lab and all the good samples (of infected brains) as well as exposing and possibly infecting himself. Should be very interesting to see what goes down at the Atlanta CDC and if, by the end of the season finale our rag-tag group of survivors are even continuing to remain in the facility.
The best part of this sneak peek was the end when Rick Grime's partner, Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) again begins to 'lose it.'
He and Rick (the protagonist cop played by Andrew Lincoln) have just had a very heated discussion about Rick's desire to pack up camp and head into Atlanta in an attempt to get to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Shane argues against it as too dangerous but Rick has his mind made up that going to Atlanta again is the survivor's only real hope of survival. (more)
Rick then lets loose with a below-the-belt shot at Shane--that Shane doesn't understand or appreciate having a family to care for. (paraphrase)
Shane responds with an incredulous tone:'What did you say to me?' Rick tries to verbally back track...then a branch snaps in the woods. Both men respond with their rifles aloft. The last frame of the sneak peek is meant for the audience to fear for Rick's safety as Shane exhales loudly, taking aim at his best friend.
Here again are the HQ screen caps for The Walking Dead 1x05 - "Wildfire": Sneak Peek #1.
Apologies in advance for the commercial at the beginning. It's pretty awful. The BTS video is pretty fascinating as it shows different locations, Johnny Depp of course, and many, many extras (now called 'background artists.' My understanding is that filming of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' is now complete. Yay!
EP 105 – “Wildfire”: Rick leads the group to the CDC after the attack. Jim must make a terrible life and death decision.
Wow. Just wow.
I just finished screen-capping this Sunday's Walking Dead eppy, 1x05 (of 6 this season. There are 13 eppys in season 2), 'Wildfire.' I used the FOX USA, Italian and Spanish FOX's versions of the completely different preview/promo/ sneak peeks for the 3 different countries--pretty incredible when you put them together.

Episode 5 "Wildfire' Spoiler:
Q: Have anything about The Walking Dead, Episode 5-6?
A: More sadness ahead—for the characters in the next episode, and for us because the season's over in two weeks. We still don't catch up with Merle, but we do catch glimpses of a kinder and gentler Daryl. (Sort of.) The gang also breaks camp and caravans to the CDC in the hopes of finding a cure for the zombie sickness. Unlike the Vatos, they find a survivor who is very happy to see them.
The Walking Dead' recap: The Sound, the Fury, and the Zombies Rick and his team attempt to get their hands on a sack of guns, while a bloody attack rocks the RV camp:
AN: My Spanish is a little rusty. Did you say your cage is dead? While I enjoyed the episode—and was left hyperventilating for all the right reasons—there were a few moments that felt a bit precious or heavy-handed. But let’s start at the beginning: We opened on an expanse of turquoise water, which turned out to be… the reservoir at camp. The placid-yet-weighted fishing scene between Andrea and Amy—sisters trying to bridge the waters of a 12-year-age gap, discovering differences in how their dad taught them to tie knots—never fully ignited our imagination (“He knew you needed to catch fish and I needed to throw them back,” quivered Amy.) Though we did get to learn that baseball is not in the only pastime in which there should be no crying.
JEFF: I agree. The scene didn’t reel in the emotional whopper it was fishing for. Let’s talk about Jim’s holes. Haunted by a premonitory dream, addled from dehydration, Jim manically began digging grave-sized ditches on a knoll. The One RV Hill Gang deemed his ominous gardening rather disconcerting. A debate about personal liberty vs. community responsibility ensued. Jim: You have no right to regulate me! I’m working separate and alone and hurting no one. Bugger off! Lori: Your hysterical activity is producing fearful psychic static that is spooking the kids and detrimental to our frazzled culture. Didn’t you learn anything from the Rally For Sanity? Stop acting like a metaphor for idiotic cable news sound-and-fury and chill! After proving unsuccessful with empathetic smooth talk, “King Boss” Shane subdued shovel-swinging Slim Jim, cuffed him, and sentenced him to a time-out. Jim’s tragic testimony spilled out of him. Zombies chowed his wife and two boys right before his eyes. “The only reason I got a way away was because the dead were too busy eating my family.” Yeah, that’ll leave a psychic mark.
EW writers Jeff Jensen and Dan Snierson have such a mutual affection for AMC's The Walking Dead that they get together once a week to watch and recap it. Above is a snippet of Jeff and Dan's conversation. Read it in full at theSource: EW/
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena - Behind the Scenes. Interviews with the cast. Premieres Jan 21st 10 PM e/p on Starz
I'm so excited that I can actually watch in the den on TV when it premieres in Jan '11. I had to trim the cable bill & drop Starz last year and so did not see much of Spartacus: Flesh and Blood, the sequel to the upcoming Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. I have a new provider now and Starz for cheap(er)-- so yea!
True, the episode description of tonight's episode of The Walking Dead is skimpy: EP 104 – “Vatos” - 'Rick’s mission to Atlanta is jeopardized when things go awry. Jim becomes unhinged in camp.'
But the promo stills have a lot to say as well as the fact that the comic series writer, Robert Kirkman, wrote this episode so he may stay more within his original story-line (may) which includes deaths of main characters in the first 6 issues. But lets go back to the awesome zombie pics shall we?
And worse, others have been bitten! As awful as it is for Andrea in losing her sister. Badly bitten twice, Amy's dead. Cooler heads need to shoot her in the head now and she'll be none the 'wiser' and never fully zombified, either. Unlike others.
