Good video below that gives you a chance to sample The Sons of Anarchy, on FX currently almost at the mid-point of its 2 nd season.
I just started watching SoA so I'm acquiring bits and pieces that I would've gotten from the start. As it happened I lucked into a cool interview with both Katey and Charlie (Jax) via a story on Katey Sagal in re:her role as "Gemma," the black leather-and lace-clad hot, cougar biker-chick in Sons of Anarchy but did not even realize that the show existed until recently. My bad.
Of course Jax is darling--check out some of the shots of Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal being interviewed prior to the start of Season 2--and the actual video.
They genuinely like each other. And, I admit, I'm a sucker for guys with longer hair. Especially, blond, light-eyed guys. All the surfer guys looked like a version of Jax when I came of age in Huntington Beach, Calif in the late 70's through mid-eighties. Even though Charlie Hunnam as Jax is great eye candy and quite compelling an actor, I'm truly knocked out by what Katey Sagal has brought to the role of "Gemma".
She's amazing.
"High quality Charlie Hunnam as Jax, Katey Sagal as Gemma, Rachel Mencken as Tara, Drea de Matteo as Wendy"

"Spartacus: Blood & Sand" Betrayed by his country. Beaten into slavery. Reborn as a warrior. "I commit my flesh, my mind, my will. I swear to be burned, chained beaten or die by the sword."
Premiering on Starz January 2010." http://www.starz.com/spartacus
More detail on the Starz offering "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con over the summer.
To sum up:
* The show was conceived of by Legend of the Seeker producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tabert
* The series was shopped around for a while before Starz picked it up
* The show is bloody, filled with sex and violence; however it is "operatic in its violence"
* The show has full nudity, both men and women
* The show will have a death toll "like you’ve never seen on television before"
* The actors did a month of Gladiator boot camp which involved 4 hours of physical training, specialized diet (which the actors are still on) and weapons training with swords, whips and spears
* Lucy Lawless said she was lucky to avoid having to participate in the boot camp but still works out as “being naked on screen is no fun”
*
* Starz have been instrumental in allowing the showrunners to work without constraint
* Lucy Lawless didn’t have to audition and nearly didn’t take the role
* The casting of Andy Whitfield was determined by the casting director less than an hour after seeing his tape audition
*
*(Thus far) Erin Cummings’ character is the only female character to do fight scenes
* Season one will consist of 13 episodes
*All of Spartacus’ motivations come from his love for his wife and desire to escape slavery to be with her
* Lucy Lawless says Spartacus is the most exciting series she’s ever worked on
* Devil’s Due are releasing a Spartacus comic in October which will expand upon individual character’s stories
* A Watchmen-style motion version of the comic will also be released (titled Spartacus: Upon The Sands Of Vengeance)
* The series liberally draws from elements of Frank Miller’s/Zack Snyder’s 300
* Tapert says there’s no room in Spartacus for humor like other shows he’s worked on

Sam Raimi and Rob Tabert. The series is being advertised as “rich in
character, action, sex and combat.” it's also being referred to as "Gladiator for TV" using Zack Snyder 300-style virtual environments.

This video is a nude love scene with Angelina and Liz Mitchell which at most would be considered a very soft R, if it were rated, which due to it being a telefilm it is not. Most of the scenes are left to the imagination and in that respect it is really well done because it is quite sensuous. I saw the film and the Jolie character is portraying a successful model from the 1980's who shot heroin and shared needles and got AIDS and died a horrible death. The Liz Mitchell character was a photographer, quite straight sexually and did not do drugs. "Gia" seduced her, though it did become a brief, stormy love affair. This film, if you come across it, is worth watching as it pulls no punches. The ending is quite sad but I thought was realistic. After the jump are stills of this scene which my readers keep asking for plus stills of a shower scene which are slightly more revealing. Both are beautiful women. Enjoy. EDIT/10.17.09 Just added a bit more video of the lovemaking.
As much as I've enjoyed Justin Kirk's University of Andy video series, Kevin Nealon is much funnier. He's very good at improvising--doing off-the-cuff stuff. He made these videos on the his last day filming Weeds: Season 5 and goes behind the scenes including the rehearsing and filming of the Doug and Celia at the storage facility pot showdown scene and the Celia and her crew scene that comes later. Fun stuff.
