Thanks to trueblood.net the original True Blood fansite for the wonderful caps. A talented and generous Truebie there made thousands of these.
It's freaky how black her eyes look after the attack, especially in cap #27,then in #28 you can see a bit of white but they are still really dark. And later in a scene where Sookie is treated by the "special" doctor her eyes appear black again. I'll post a series of her treatment which is pretty awful-looking but compelling, too.
Here's the next scene where Sookie's eyes are like Jane Boathouse's were while partying at Merlotte's with Maryanne and like a reveller at Maryanne's almost-orgy.
I see some white but they still look really dark.
It could be that Anna Paquin's eyes look really dark when she's crying--she is in both scenes as well as the lighting in the one is that of a dark country road, so I dunno.
I love the vids that xdanceintherainx makes. A thousand thank yous! Go check them out.
I loved too, this scene with Sookie and Bill macking on one another only to find Jessica and Hoyt on the couch--doing something.
SPOILERish!!!
I've read that Jessica (Debra Ann Woll) and Hoyt (Jim Parrack) will be together at least for a few eppys, maybe longer, if she doesn't get him or even herself killed :( . I hope longer as I think both of them are fun to watch. They are both quite endearing.
The problem that I did have with the scene was the time lapse. I realize that the events with Hoyt and Jessica and those of Sookie and Bill (and Eric) were to have taken place at the same time but it wasn't a smooth transition for me and it felt forced. Hoyt should have been half-eaten by Jessica by the time Bill and Sookie showed up, YKWIM?
Glad he wasn't, but geez.
EDIT/Here a quick snippet which neatly summarizes Bill Compton's conundrum--which he will wrestle with for as long as he exists.
I like too that in summarizing what Bill's eternal conflict is that the romanticism which at times has been over-the-top, is replaced by unvarished reality--at least for a short while.
I wasn't aware of them until I started watching the show but HBO promoted their new series "True Blood" throughout the summer with a series of videos. There are eight HBO-produced "Blood Copy Reports" videos on YouTube. There's content overlap in some of the videos--they tend to recap a lot. It won't take much time to get a feel for what the Alan Ball-created show was going for in the promos. I'm probably spoiled by the inimitable "Six Feet Under"--also an Alan Ball creation--but the "Blood Copy Reports" are not quite as good as any thing Six Feet Under did in it's promotions. Still, they are worth having a look as a character or two in the YouTube shorts appears on the actual HBO-produced show. I'm not sure if the eight HBO-promo/backstory videos are considered canon relative to the series or if they are just supplemental. The series is based on the Charlaine Harris southern vampire mysteries. Creator Ball has stated that the first season, comprised of 12 episodes, will follow the series faithfully but he will not commit to the same if the series has a second season.
EDIT 07.02.09/In the year since I wrote this and the practice has burgeoned,
viral marketing has become quite commonplace. True Blood did utilize this technique of advertising for the June 2009 debut of Season 2 but moreso online and less at bus stops.
Synopsis:
E02 TRUE BLOOD 02: THE FIRST TASTE :Bill returns Sookie's favor by rescuing her from the Rattrays' revenge, healing the wounded waitress with his own blood and leaving her, temporarily, with heightened senses. After being invited into Gran's house for a "get-to-know-you" gathering with Jason and her family, Bill joins Sookie for a nocturnal sojourn. They end up at Bill's dilapidated antebellum estate, where Bill fights off his primal vampire urges for the acquiescent Sookie. Later, Sookie's desires get the better of her as she returns to Bill's--and is greeted by a gaggle of his bloodthirsty vampire friends.
This is the scene where the Rattray's are beating up on Sookie and Bill comes to the rescue. The scenes are from both episodes 1&2. Contains some inappropriate language.
Of all the violence on True Blood this for me is the more cringe-inducing. Even though I know the final outcome it's still very hard to watch Sookie being beaten to within an inch of her life. It's not for the easily appalled. Frankly, I did not even notice the language. :p

TRUE BLOOD 03: MINE
Foiled in their attempt to "glamour" Sookie, vampires Malcolm, Liam and Diane make a hasty retreat after Bill lays claim to the waitress. At Merlotte's, Sam seeks a short-term remedy to his long-term loneliness, while Tara seeks respite from her mother's alcohol-fueled rage. Spurned by Dawn for lack of performance, Jason turns to Lafayette, Merlotte's short-order cook, for help with his problem.
Sometimes I wish I could clone myself--though the world is probably not ready for that--so I could better stay on top of things like 13 Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince Promos and Trailers being released. This happens all the time though not with this much alarming frquency, that studios be they movie or television unleash gobs of promo materials all at once. I realize that the idea is to saturate every form of media known to man but just the same...anyway a new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film clip was just released! When I saw that though it's called #12, including the MTV clip we now have thirteen Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Previews out. I checked my blogs and I cannot find all twelve but I can go back to seven which leads me to conclude that I need to get numbers 8-12 up, which are in this post--plus for good measure the MTV clip--which I did post (must have been a fluke, lol). I'm very much looking forward to "...Half-Blood Prince" because it is my favourite Potter book and because it guarantees Alan Rickman (Prof. Snape) lots of screen time and that has to be a good thing. So here you go. Enjoy!
Twelfth ‘Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince’ TV Spot - THE CAVE
Every time I see David Naughton, my first reaction is to want to break into his "I'm a Pepper" dance, you remember, 1980's teevee commerical for Dr. Pepper? OK. Never mind.
I read today that John Landis is totally selling out-- has sold out actually-- the rights to "An American Werewolf in London" to Dimension Films to remake this unique, funny horror flick--one of my all-time faves. This makes me sad as the original as I suppose I must now refer to it, is perfect as it is. It features state of the art (at that time) effects that when first seen were totally mind-bending and yes, as my becoming favourite go-to website notes, it is uber scary, especially the scene that I've re-posted here (below).
Also, Americans always seen to fail to note that Jenny Agutter also stars in this as the girlfriend. Remember Logan's Run? She starred in that (and lots of other flicks) too. She's quite good.
As scifiscoop.com notes, "Landis wrote and directed the original film about two American backpackers who, whilst hiking in the Yorkshire moors, are attacked by a werewolf. One of them (played by Griffin Dunne) is killed and becomes doomed to remain one of the walking undead as long as the blood-line of the werewolf that killed him remains alive. The other (played by David Naughton) becomes a werewolf and the last of the blood-line who goes on to terrorize London."
Though Landis will retain executive producer's rights, the film as of now has neither a writer nor director which makes me feel even less charitable towards Mr. Landis.
All I can really think is that he does not value the film as he should've and he was tempted by the almighty buck and sold out. Now the remake better be fantastic or awful. If it's simply mediocre I will..it's illegal to make threats right? laugh at Jon Landis.
EDIT/ Aw. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on him. He's the guy whose career highlights ended in 1983 with Twilight Zone: The Movie. Before that, he did the notorious "Kentucky Fried Movie," " Animal House," "The Blues Brothers," "American Werewolf..." and what appears to be his and Michael Jackson's pinacle of success, the short film "Thiller." If you want to see the list of schlock that the man has fobbed on the world since then be my guest.
Two Americans trudge through the moors where they ahem, have an encounter with a werewolf.
